Why we should pay attention to privacy settings while online
Recently I read an article on wired.com that Flashlight app I commonly use almost everyday can giveaway lot of my personal information to advertisers. Based on the article " Flash light app it turns out, can ask for a shocking amount of user data when you download it, tapping everything from my calendar to my phone’s location engine to my camera. Yes, my camera. This is something you can keep in check, thanks to the privacy controls on today’s iPhone, but the truth is that most people don’t."
This really caught my attention even though I am fanatic about downloading every software update suggested, update my antivirus software regularly but I wouldn't never paid attention that Flashlight app can actually access your camera etc. That's why we ST Agents work hard to educate ourselves and our peers in privacy controls and other best practices.
